Today I installed the cargo and bike racks on my Subaru. Every year it’s a momentous occasion that signals the start of spring. With the racks on, I can throw gear and firewood up top for camping trips. I can load up my road bikes for century rides and the requisite training rides that go along with them. I can load up mountain bikes to bring to the beautiful trails at Auburn and Salmon Falls.
This year’s installation was an especially momentous one, because it signifies the start of the last spring, summer and fall of my 20s. I had a lot of things planned for this last set of seasons, and I had a lot of goals that I wanted to hit before I turned 30, but I will probably not have enough time to do all of them.
My advice to those that still read this blog, most of who are slightly younger than me, is that if you have stuff you want to accomplish before you turn 30, start early and don’t procrastinate.
